Episode 43
Food, Nutrition and Breast Cancer with Dr Tasha Gandamihardja
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Dr Tasha is a consultant breast cancer surgeon - who wishes we were breast aware every month - and is dedicated to informing and educating people about this particular cancer that affects so many people over the world.
The two highest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and ageing. Men can also develop breast cancer but few do - they have their prostate to tend to as they age.
Find out about Dr Tasha’s relationship with food. She became vegetarian at medical school but our focus in this episode is on breast cancer and related issues – nutrition, processed food, cellular changes, the BRCA gene, and importantly, how to stay well.
Dr Tasha possesses the type of bedside manner you wish for every doctor.
Whatever your age or gender you may be affected by breast cancer in some way and we hope this episode will help you.
Dr Tasha has a YouTube channel and hosts her podcast, My Breast My Health.
